Leave of Absence
Applications for Fee assistance may be submitted once per year, once per lifetime. Individuals may apply to waive a portion, or all fees associated with the ATRA member renewal process.
This policy applies to all current ATRA professional members in good standing. It includes two forms of assistance:
Fee Assistance – A temporary reduction or waiver of membership fees due to financial strain
- Applicants that fully meet the membership criteria may apply for a Fee Waiver
- Applicants may apply to waive a portion, or all fees associated with the ATRA member renewal process
Limitations:
- The Fee Waiver does not apply to fees already paid or provide refunds for fees that have been paid
- The Fee Waiver program does not apply to Alumni, supporting or student members
- The Fee Waiver program does not apply to new members, only to current Professional members who are renewing their annual membership.
- One (1) year only*
- May only receive one ATRA Fee Assistance Waiver (lifetime)
Leave of Absence (LOA) – A temporary pause in membership for personal or professional reasons.
A leave of absence may be requested for reasons including but not limited to:
• Personal health concerns• Parental leave (e.g., maternity, paternity, or adoption leave)
• Professional development or academic studies
• Family caregiving responsibilities
• Other extenuating circumstances
Limitations:
- A leave of absence does not apply to fees already paid- no refunds will be provided
- Applicants may not have late fees on their account
- Applicants must be in good standing with CEU's
- One (1) year only*
- May only receive one ATRA Fee Assistance Waiver (lifetime)
