Opportunity to Participate in Empirical Research

Greetings!

My name is Shintaro Kono, an assistant professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation at the University of Alberta. My colleagues and I are conducting a research project called "A Delphi Study on Leisure, Subjective Well-Being, and Mental Health among University Students." The purpose of this project is to identify key topics to be covered in a leisure education intervention for university students to enhance their mental health and well-being. In this study, we are looking for professional experts who have had 5 or more years of experiences in two or more of the following areas: (a) leisure/recreation, (b) mental health/well-being, and (c) university students. For example, recreation therapists who have worked with those with mental health issues for 5 years would qualify for this project.

Although the timeline somewhat depends on how soon we can get enough participants, we are planning to conduct 3-4 online surveys between February and April 2021Each survey will take about 30 mins. You will receive the initial findings about key factors in leisure education for students' well-being. You will also receive a $30 gift card as a token of our appreciation. More details about the project can be found in the attached letter. If you are interested in this project, please reply to me at skono@ualberta.ca

Please also share this information with anyone whom you know may qualify for and be interested in it. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Shintaro Kono
