Recreation Therapists work with a number of vulnerable client groups and advocacy is a key aspect of service provision. Familiarity with grant funding empowers you and your clients for this year’s funding or consideration for a following year.
The federal government has a number of funding programs for Recreation Therapists to consider on behalf of their agency and or programs. Take note of deadlines
For example
- Social Development Partnership Program – Children and Families – Financial Empowerment of Low-Income People.
- Social Development Partnerships Program – Children and Families – Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Children and Youth.
- Enabling Accessibility Fund – Midsize projects
